In 2023 kwam een significant deel van de Firefox-downloads van onbekende bronnen. Dit is wat we noemen de Onbekende Fuik. Wij denken dat veel hiervan afkomstig zijn van websites van derden die u Firefox laten downloaden. Terwijl sommige websites best oké zijn, kunnen andere een risico betekenen doordat een oude versie of een uitgave met een verkeerde taal wordt aangeboden, dat leidt tot beveiligingsrisico’s, een slechte gebruikerservaring, of zelfs schadelijke installaties. Help ons het mysterie achter deze websites van derden die Firefox-installaties aanbieden, te ontdekken door deel te nemen aan deze campagne!
