Host an event
So you decided to host an event, congratulations! Your efforts will help Firefox to have a successful launch in your region. You haven’t organized an event before? Don’t worry, you can find everything on how to organize an event on this event guide.
Workflow
- Introduction talk, why this work is important for Firefox in your region
- Ask the attendees to watch this video explaining what issues they should report
- Participants install Firefox Beta for Desktop
- Check this list of the 200 most famous website in your country and choose the website you want to test (NSFW websites are marked red – do open in your responsibility). If you can’t find your country you can also check the Alexa list. Please don’t start at the top to make sure we do not only test the first 10.
- Once you have finished testing a website go and report it on the report form, you will find all the info you need on how to report your work
- Keep doing the awesome work and make Firefox better!
Do the action solo
Do you prefer to participate in the campaign from the comfort of your couch? That’s totally fine! Here is how:
- Install Firefox Beta for Desktop
- Check this list of the 200 most famous websites in your local and choose the website you want to test. If you can’t find your country you can also check the Alexa list. Please don’t start at the top to make sure we do not only test the first 10.
- Once you have finished testing a website go and report it on the report form, you will find all the info you need on how to report your work

Resources you can request
Swag for your event
You can request swag for your event. This needs to be done enough time before the event to allow shipping it to your location.
Swag will include the following:
- 100 new Firefox stickers
- 1 poster
Funding for your event
For this event, you can request up to 30 USD. Please note that you can only apply for the budget after the event happened. To do so, fill out the request budget form and provide the link to your receipts. Budget requests without a link to receipts will not be considered.
Note: We know that in some cases 30 USD might not be enough. In cases you’ve spent more do send us the receipts. We will evaluate them and reimburse you if the expenses are justified in your local.
